Browser Cache leeren

If outdated content is displayed in the web browser, it helps to clear the browser cache by hand.

However, many users do not know what a cache is nor how to empty it manually.

The browser cache is a kind of cache for web pages.

When you visit a website, parts of the website (such as images, CSS or JavaScript files) are stored on the user's hard drive.

If you later surf to the same website again, not all parts of the homepage need to be downloaded again.

Instead, the browser can access the file in the cache and display the page faster.

Sometimes, however, the browser does not notice that there is already newer content on the server. Instead, it displays obsolete files from the cache.

The user now has to empty the cache by hand.

This differs a bit depending on the browser.
